He has been a speaker on several national and international specialty meetings. He is certified by the American Board in each of those specialties. He was also the recipient of research grants on several occasions by the American Heart Association and the Heart Rhythm Society. Massare conducted groundbreaking research in cardiac arrhythmias in UT Southwestern that was declared to be of national interest. He was chief fellow of cardiology and EP. He continued his training in the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he finished his training in general cardiology in 2007 and cardiac pacing and electrophysiology (EP) in 2009. He completed his internal medicine training at Wayne State University in Detroit in 2004, where he received the “Intern of the Year” award. Jorge Massare, M.D., FHRS, FACC, graduated from medical school with honors in 1997.
